Craft Group Night

I just wanted to post a picture of my latest craft, which I think turned out really cute! Pottery Barn Kids inspired our organizer, Andrea, of last night's craft. Of course it was much cheaper and it totally helped that Andrea's husband, Rob, made the wood frames that we stretched out our material on. I did it last night with a bunch of really creative and crafty friends (most of us were in an FHE lesson exchange for the past year and a half and now we've switched to craft exchanges). Basically, one person comes up with a craft and gets all the basic stuff and hosts it at their house and we all come and do it that night. It's 8"x20" and my color material I used is from a quilt I've been working on for almost 2 years for Natalie (the white material has butterflies on it, too bad you can't see them in the picture). Now I have more motivation to finish it so the art doesn't look lonely on the wall. (If you want to see everyone else's check out Andrea's blog.)

So cute.

Now a boy craft for Lincoln.

That is really, really cute. I agree, the best way to be crafty is with friends. Mostly because I'm so not creative myself and secondly because I hate buying a large quantity of some product and only using a tiny bit of it.

How cute! That is such a good idea. Now do you just start these groups or are they like your weekly activities with your ward?

Friends in our ward have started them and they're not the enrichment activities.

Ok, so I LOVE the picture you have that you see as SOON as you open your blog. It's SO beautiful there. We are SERIOUSLY going to need to plan a trip out there this year or the beginning of next. It would be so fun. To answer your question, yes, my mom and I make our own Cordon bleu. It's not REALLY hard, but not the simplest thing we make either. :) and YES, family is EXTREMELY important to me! :) That's how you and I were brought up!
